A seamless and unified digital wallet experience.
Managing digital assets like crypto, rewards, cash, and gift cards is still fragmented and inefficient. Users struggle with security, usability, and moving assets seamlessly between platforms. Bakkt set out to simplify this by bringing everything into one easy, all-in-one solution.
At Paloma, I led the end-to-end UX/UI, working closely with product and engineering to create a seamless and scalable experience. My focus was to make asset management effortless, building the foundation of a design system and refining core features to improve usability
and adoption.
In-app experience
We developed a range of app features, and I worked closely with product owners and engineers to ensure each one fit seamlessly into the larger ecosystem. Taking the time to understand requirements upfront was key, allowing us to align early and gather feedback before development. This approach helped us build solid features that not only enhanced the user experience but also stayed true to the business goals and vision.
Scaling a Design system
The Bakkt team faced inefficiencies due to inconsistent UI patterns and fragmented design components. This slowed down development and created discrepancies across mobile and website platforms.
I spearheaded the revamp of a design system that standardised typography, colours, and UI components. Working with engineers, I ensured seamless implementation, reducing design debt by 40% and provided a scalable foundation for future feature rollouts.

Building a Developer experience
Developers faced friction when integrating Bakkt’s APIs due to limited access to documentation and fragmented information. As a result, the team spent excessive time manually distributing resources and addressing support requests.
I designed a unified Developer API dashboard, streamlining the onboarding experience and improving the documentation structure. This led to a 40% reduction in support requests, improving developer adoption and freeing up the team to focus on high-impact initiatives.
